Welcome to CAMoS 2027

A conference built around systems that move, act and connect

CAMoS 2027 brings together research, engineering and practice across connectivity, automation and mobile systems, with a deliberate focus on how physical and digital systems increasingly interact. The conference is organized and promoted by KINTECH and is planned as a hybrid event in Split, Croatia, from 2 to 6 August 2027.

CAMoS is structured around three scientific themes—Connectivity, Automation and Mobile Systems—while also welcoming work at their intersections, including digital twins, cyber-physical systems, intelligent transportation, 5G/6G, V2X, autonomous systems, distributed intelligence, AI, security, sustainability and emerging connected applications.

Rolling review and notification

CAMoS 2027 plans to use a continuous review and notification process so that submitted work can be assessed in a timely manner and decisions can be communicated as reviews are completed.

Scientific themes

Connectivity · Automation · Mobile Systems

Three central themes, each spanning physical, digital and cyber-physical systems.

See full scope
01 · Connectivity

Connectivity

The foundation connecting physical and digital ecosystems.

In the physical domain, connectivity links sensors, actuators, machines, robots, vehicles, infrastructure and people. In the digital domain, it links software systems, services, digital twins, virtual environments, data spaces and intelligent or autonomous agents.

Physical–digital connectivity bridges both domains, allowing connected sensing to update digital representations and digital decisions to influence physical processes through actuators and control systems.

Scientific leadProf. Dr.-Ing. João Paulo Javidi da Costa
02 · Automation

Automation

From physical systems to autonomous digital processes.

Automation spans physical systems such as robots, production machinery, autonomous vehicles and building systems, as well as virtual automation through software agents, automated workflows, simulations and autonomous digital entities.

Cyber-physical automation connects both domains: decisions in digital environments influence physical processes, while physical systems continuously update their digital counterparts.

Scientific leadProf. Dr. Edison Pignaton de Freitas
03 · Mobile Systems

Mobile Systems

Connected systems operating across physical and virtual environments.

Mobile systems include connected vehicles, robots and devices operating in physical space, as well as software agents and representations moving through digital twins, immersive environments and telepresence systems.

CAMoS examines how mobile systems depend on intelligent, connected and interoperable infrastructure.

Scientific leadDr.-Ing. habil. (Interim Prof.) Tai Fei
